The recipe only contains four ingredients, and it takes less than five minutes to make! You can also use this as a base recipe and add other things to it as well.

The chocolate chip smoothie recipe’s texture is amazing, and you may have to stop yourself from making it multiple times a day!

Not only are they absolutely delicious, but there will also be some tips for making ingredients so you can store them and add them to other smoothies!

This post is all about the fan favorite choc chip smoothie recipe.

First off, make sure that you have prepped the ingredients beforehand. The ingredients we have dubbed the ‘coconut cubes’ are frozen cubes of coconut milk that have been in an ice tray.

Make sure to prepare these beforehand as they can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to completely solidify.

The other ingredients are much easier, and the coconut cubes are really the only ones that you will need to do way in advance.

There are also plenty of other toppings and add-ins that you can add to make this smoothie more unique and tailored to your preferences.

If you’re looking to make it sweeter, I suggest adding something like honey into the mix. You should only need about a spoonful for a significant change.

To enhance the coconut flavor, you can also add shredded coconut to the blender until it has reached your ideal taste.

In case you can’t remember all of these, I will also list several additional ingredients below with what you can use them for if you so choose.

With or without extra add-ins, this simple vanilla chocolate chip smoothie recipe is super yummy and will have you going back for more.

It also serves as a great alternative if you’re trying to cut back on sugar or super sweet treats. The smoothie recipe still has some sugar but is relatively healthier than any processed candy you may be craving.

Funny enough, the creation of this recipe was someone accidental. what started as a coconut chocolate chip recipe turned into a simpler but just as flavorful smoothie that has been the subject of any beverage-related talk in my household.

If you’re looking for a smoothie that is not as sweet or rich in fruit flavors, you will find this recipe delightful.

I have asked at least once a day since the creation of this recipe to make it. Keep that in mind if you plan on making this recipe too!

It should also briefly be noted that compared to many of our other smoothie recipes this one yields less product.

This pretty much means that the end result is a smaller smoothie so it may only be enough for one person.

However, you can always just add more of certain ingredients if you want a larger portion size.

There will be an option for that down below and I will give you all of the necessary information to expand on it.

As do many of our smoothie recipes, this one contains dairy. You can substitute this for another type of milk, or if you want to stay on brand with the recipe you can use coconut milk.

If you choose this route, know that you may end up experiencing a stronger coconut taste.

Is there something you have to look out for? If it is dairy, we’ve got you covered. We have another option for you, a recipe that was specifically made to include a delicious substitute for regular milk.

This Healthy Smoothie With Almond Milk is so good when the perfect combination of strawberries and peanut butter.

Now that we’ve covered all the bases, we can finally move on to making this fan-favorite vanilla chocolate chip smoothie recipe!

Please prepare these items:

½ cup of Milk

6 Coconut Cubes

¼ cup of Chocolate Chips

1 Small/Medium sized Banana

Just as I stated before, you will need to pre-freeze coconut milk into cubes.

Frozen coconut cubes provide a lot of benefits to your smoothie, and can significantly change the taste. Once you try them, you may never want to go back.

Ice trays usually offer several slots to fill up, so you can also prepare coconut cubes in advance and add them to your other smoothies.

Frozen coconut cubes are not a complete substitute for liquid milk, however, and will only turn your smoothie into a slush. The recipe needs a liquid, so I added regular milk so as to not overpower the coconut flavor.

The last bonus to using this ingredient is that it is already made by the time you concoct your smoothie and it is just one less thing you have to worry about. It not only saves stress but time as well.

Although I have yet to try it, I suspect you may also be able to do this with other types of milks too if that is something you may want to add.

To make this a simple and easy process, I have separated the steps into two different parts.

Step 1:

Add 1 small/medium banana cut into two halves to the blender. Next, add 6 coconut cubes and ½ cup of milk. Blend until combined.

In this step, you can also add more of each ingredient to produce a larger quantity. If you just want a stronger coconut presence, add more coconut cubes and taste as necessary.

Step 2:

Add ¼ cup of chocolate chips and blend together until the chocolate chips are to your preferred size. Add to a cup and enjoy!

You can choose to add everything together at once, but I like to add everything else first before the chocolate chips so I can taste-test the smoothie and make sure everything is to my liking. That way I can mix other stuff up without chopping up the chocolate chips too small.

If you already have the recipe down and don’t want to make any adjustments, you can add everything together.

We have this step so you can completely control how crushed up you want your chocolate chips.

This smoothie is more liquid-y than many of my other recipes, so if you want to make a thicker smoothie, you can add a frozen banana instead of a room-temperature one.

Depending on how much you are making, you could add a whole other banana to make your smoothie creamier.

“I love the smoothie, but I want to change the taste and add more fruit. What would work?”

Now, if you find yourself asking this question, don’t worry. I have got some solutions for you.

There are TONS of different ingredients you could add, including these:

Strawberries-

If you haven’t experimented too much with adding strawberries to your smoothie, know that you will probably have to add other fruits or flavors as well.

The strawberry flavor can turn into a sour taste, but you can prevent this by adding bananas or other strong fruits like blueberries or raspberries.

Blueberries

Raspberries

Blackberries

Any of these options will morph your smoothie into a berry flavor, but this could also be a good thing if you have too much of one ingredient.

Even better if you mix them all together to create the ultimate berry smoothie!

The berries will also decrease the amount of coconut flavor you may notice in your drink.

Shredded Coconut-

Speaking of coconut, if you are trying to increase and enhance the amount of coconut in your smoothie, try adding some fresh, shredded coconut to the mix!

You can put in small parts at a time to avoid adding too much at once.

Honey

Agave Syrup-

This smoothie isn’t very sweet, but honey and/or agave syrup can help change that! You only need to start with a teaspoon full of either ingredient and can increase from there.

Pineapple

Mango-

Unlike the other ingredients on this list, pineapple and mango are tropical fruits that will transport you to a sunny and relaxing vacation. Mixed with coconut, they may even remind you of a piña colada!

Any of these fruits added to your smoothie frozen will thicken the texture of your drink, so keep that in mind if you are looking for something to chill your smoothie even more.

If there is anything else you think of that was not listed above, you can also add it to the comments and maybe I’ll put it on the list!

This vanilla chocolate chip smoothie recipe is one of the fastest to make out of the list of recipes on my website, so not only will it become a go-to because of how yummy it is, but also because of how convenient it is!

Make sure to share this recipe with your friends and family, and get their opinion on it. If you’re ever in a pinch and don’t have much time, you can make this smoothie super fast!
