cozy baking recipes

Whether your weather feels like fall or not, these cozy baking recipes will put you in the mood. (See what we did there?)

When you think of fall, what comes to mind? Usually, we think of pumpkin spice lattes, the leaves turning colors and dressing up warm.

Or maybe you embrace the kitchen and go into baking mode: ‘dishing’ out meals and desserts for visiting friends and family.

We have prepared over twenty easy fall baking recipes for you to enjoy, so without further ado…

This post is all about the 20+ cozy baking recipes to get you into the spirit of fall and for you to enjoy!

We love summer, but there is something so special about fall. Not only do fashion and food revolve around it, but holidays are much more frequent!

It’s a time when people get to see each other for the first time in months and catch up over delicious food and drinks.

This list is mainly about baking recipes, so there won’t be many drink suggestions on the list. However, we will still add a couple that pair well with the baked goods.

Togetherness is the theme of these recipes, whether it’s with close friends and family or your pets. There is something for everyone this time of year, so let’s all enjoy this season!

20+ Cozy Baking Recipes That You’ll Love:

Pumpkin Pie-

The first on our list is a classic: pumpkin pie! This dessert floods grocery stores around Thanksgiving and has become one of the most popular treats to share on that fall holiday.

Pie from the store is great and all, but if you can bake? Why not make it at home?

The dessert will be fresh, and if you’ve ever compared store-bought to homemade, you’ll know there is a huuuge difference when it comes to taste.

If you don’t like pumpkin pie, try making it at home. You can add all of your own special touches to make it taste just how you want it to, and you may like it!

Apple Pie-

The combo of apple and cinnamon is amazing already, so be prepared to see lots of treats with these ingredients!

Apple pie, although slightly messier than pumpkin pie, is just (if not more) delicious! It has a crunchier texture because of the soft apple filling and we are just IN LOVE with this cozy dessert for the holidays.

Apple Cider-

Although not officially a baked good, apple cider is the perfect fall drink to go with your dessert (like pie) and can also be enjoyed alone.

There are some great store-bought apple cider packets but we’ve found that homemaking gives the cider an earthy taste that the store-bought cider can’t compete with.

Chocolate Chip Cookies-

Another classic recipe. Chocolate chip cookies are a year-round cozy baked good that everyone knows and loves! They can be easily customized for occasions, and toppings can be added and taken out for the seasons.

If you’re looking for a less conventional chocolate chip cookie, you can try these White Chocolate Raspberry Cookies!

cookie recipe ideas

White chocolate and raspberry is such a unique but delicious combination that you don’t see a lot when it comes to baking cookies.

We love making these as a late-night snack, and there are so many things you can add to make them even better! Speaking of…

Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich-

You’ll need those chocolate chip cookies from earlier! What could be better than fresh and warm cookies? An ice cream sandwich!

You don’t need to make the ice cream from scratch, but that’s also an option if you have your own go-to recipe!

Ice cream-

We were inspired by the last recipe to add an extra! Making ice cream to go with your baked goods is a great project for the holidays!

Not only does it pair well with those delicious chocolate chip cookies, but you can also bring out the ice cream for pie!

Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins-

What about an easier recipe with not much cleanup? These banana chocolate chip muffins cover the role! It takes 15-30 minutes to get them in the oven from start to finish, and they can be packaged up for days to eat over the course of the week.

When we say we are obsessed, it is not an overstatement. We highly recommend you try them for yourselves!

Here is our recipe for the Best Flourless Banana Muffins of 2023:

These have been a fan favorite for quite a while because they’re easy to make and even easier to clean up after!

Remember not to eat them all at once!

Pumpkin Bread-

Almost like the seasonal version of banana bread, no? Pumpkin bread has been a staple for us for several years and we hope you enjoy it just as much!

Similar to the muffins, you can pack this up and eat it for breakfast or snacks for your week. This also makes a great housewarming gift for new neighbors or just as a side dish for a potluck or get-together.

Snickerdoodle Cookies-

Another cookie recipe, yay! If you’re not a fan of chocolate chip cookies (or even if you are), these are a great option to make instead.

A bonus is that they also taste great in an ice cream cookie sandwich!

They contain lots of cinnamon which just screams holiday and are a pretty neutral option to bring to a party.

Apple crumble-

Almost like apple pie, but just like the name, it’s more crumbly. If you enjoy the taste of apples and all of the other ingredients in a pie but don’t want to go through the tedious process of making the dough and lining the pan, this recipe is for you!

The texture can typically be a bit crispier but the taste is relatively the same. It’s a delicious (and kind of messy) treat that can be enjoyed with a mix of other ingredients!

Apple crumble reminds us of a mixing pot, where you can throw in other things like chocolate chips, ice cream, and whipped cream to create the perfect dessert.

Brownies-

We’re moving away from the cinnamon theme! Although brownies are a simple and easy recipe, they never fail to be absolutely mouthwatering. This is another favorite to bring to parties and potlucks, and they are guaranteed to be gone by the end.

It seems like at this point, most of the cozy baking recipes can be paired with ice cream! Vanilla is always a classic, but there are other flavors like mint chip and chocolate that go well with these baked goods too.

Cinnamon Rolls-

Don’t think we were going to stay away for long! Cinnamon is back with this delectable morning treat. Waking up to the smell of cinnamon rolls is a core memory for many of us as kids, but it shouldn’t have to only be a memory.

This would be a great treat to make for breakfast or brunch, along with an assortment of fruit and some company! There’s nothing like bonding over freshly baked confections.

Gingerbread Cookies-

Although gingerbread cookies are usually associated with Christmas, they are still a super fun project to do at night with friends or family. With homemade frosting, you can have decorating competitions!

Sometimes the gingerbread cookies you find at the store are dry and don’t taste very good. By making your own, you can ensure they are fresh and bake them exactly how you would want them to taste.

Apple Cobbler-

Another apple recipe? You betcha! Can you tell we like apples?

Apple cobbler is a better option if you want a more prominent taste of crust, but still want the look or texture of the apple crisp.

Who knew there were so many versions of this beloved apple dessert?

Peanut Butter Blossoms-

This one reminds us of all of the desserts you would see at a holiday party. They’re easy to make and bite-sized!

Who doesn’t love an excuse to eat the ingredients while you bake cookies?

Chocolate Lava Cake-

Super delicious, and a little more advanced, chocolate lava cakes may require more detail and attention. But, these are worth a try if you are a chocolate lover like us! (Make sure to try them when they’re still warm!)

Banana Bread-

Such a classic! Banana bread is perfect for late-night baking, and eating it fresh out of the oven is such a heavenly experience. If you’re feeling creative, you can add toppings to it! (Our favorite toppings to add are chocolate chips.)

If you have a hard time trying to figure out what you want to eat in the mornings, this is another perfect one to make on the weekends for the days ahead. Just grab a slice and go!

Pumpkin Cookies-

Calling all pumpkin lovers! Pumpkin cookies are the perfect treat to bake when you’re trying to get into the fall mood. The pumpkin aroma will swirl around the kitchen during the baking process and engulf the room in the feeling of fall!

Magic Cookie Bars-

These recipes seem to be on the down-low, but magic cookie bars are truly something else! If you don’t know what they are, they contain graham cracker crumbs, condensed milk, coconut flakes, and chocolate chips!

The result is super sweet and chewy! This cozy baking recipe has earned the spot as #1 amongst the others, so if you make any of these, we highly recommend it be this one!

Baked Apple Cider Donuts-

These donuts only seem to be around during the holidays, so if you can’t find them, why not make your own?  That way you can add as much cinnamon and spice as you want!

Homemade Hot Chocolate Bombs-

These are super fun and simple to make, and it’s fun to see your creation dissolve into warm milk! You can add you’re own personal touch and decorate them however you like, inside and outside.

Cocoa bombs also make a great present to others, and they have a long shelf life so you don’t need to throw them out for a long while.

Cheesecake Bars-

Perfect if you want the taste without the full amount. Sometimes making cheesecake bars is easier than making cheesecake because they don’t take up so much room, and can be eaten in bites instead of a full slice.

Tiramisu-

Speaking of cake, if you want to make a full-blown dish, this cake is a great one! Although these recipes can take a bit more time, the end result is totally worth it.

Because there are so many components to this confectionary, you can choose if you want to make the whole thing from scratch or just some parts. Although served cold, tiramisu is such a great dessert to eat during the fall/winter time.

And we’re done!

Any of these options are great to make for a night in, or to a holiday get-together! All of these cozy baking recipes are sure to put you in the mood for fall and we can’t wait to see what you choose!
