With Valentine’s Day coming up, it seemed like the perfect time to share one of my favorite snack recipes: chocolate raspberry yogurt bark.
Not only is it one of the simplest recipes out there, but the result is super yummy and delicious! As the weather is starting to get warmer, this snack is also a great way to cool off.
I love making this recipe on the weekends when I know I’m not going to have a lot of time to make food during the week because it’s so nice to have a ready-to-go snack that I can quickly eat in between things during the day.

Although this recipe is extremely easy, just make sure that you let it sit for a couple of hours or overnight in your freezer. This recipe will not be ready right away.
If you come up with other foods that you want to add to this recipe, this also serves as a really good base for anything you want to add.
I will give a couple of suggestions after the recipe in case you want to add more flavor but are not sure what exactly to include.
You can share this healthy easy snack recipe with your friends as a Valentine’s Day treat, or you can show some self-love and make enough for you and only you.
Chocolate raspberry yogurt bark definitely doesn’t replace a regular chocolate bar, but If you’re just looking for a healthy, sweet snack, this will do the trick.
For this recipe, you will need:
1 cup of No-Sugar Chocolate Chips
1 cup of Greek yogurt
½ cup of Raspberries
I used chocolate chips with no added sugar into them, but you can really add any type of chocolate you want.
To make this a super healthy recipe, you could use pure dark chocolate chips or ones with coconut sugar instead, but you can really use whatever you have lying around.
After you’ve gotten all of the ingredients out, make sure you have these things ready to use:
A medium-sized Glass Bowl
A Spoon
Containers or a Pan
Parchment Paper
To assemble everything, you will either need to put it in a square pan or into containers that can be easily stored.
I used containers, more specifically a Bento Box, to keep everything intact and safe in the freezer. If you don’t have a Bento box, you can use any plastic containers you have lying around that fit.
Want to get a Bento Box of your own? This is the one I used from Amazon.
This Bento Lunch Box from Amazon is the perfect size to make chocolate raspberry yogurt bark!
Not only is it a great container for this recipe, but you can also use it time and time again for packing your snacks or lunch.
If you are using a different type of plastic container, I recommend ones that are pretty shallow so they take up less room.
That way you aren’t left with a bunch of empty space that could be used for another container full of chocolate raspberry yogurt bark.
Aside from freezing time, this recipe is super quick and easy, and you get to eat all of the scraps that don’t make it into the container!
Or, if you have someone helping you out or watching you make it, you can give them all of the tasty bits that are left in the bowl.
This also makes the bowls easier to clean afterward and may save you the hassle of melting down the chocolate on the sides.
These are the steps to follow:
Step 1:
Line your containers (or pan) with parchment paper, make sure to push the paper all the way down. Sometimes folding the parchment paper over itself helps it stick down better!
Step 2:
Pour 1 cup of chocolate chips into a medium-sized glass bowl. Put into the microwave for 30-second increments: taking it out and mixing after each time. It should take around two and a half minutes for the chocolate to fully melt.
Once the chocolate chips are almost completely melted with only a couple of chunks still visible, you can continue to mix until they break down.
Step 3:
Use a spoon to carefully scoop some of the melted chocolate into the container with parchment paper (or pan). Spread the chocolate around with the back of the spoon until the entire bottom is covered and the chocolate is evenly distributed.
If you have multiple containers, repeat this step until each of them has a chocolate layer. Then, set those aside and let the chocolate cool.
Step 4:
Measure ½ cup of raspberries and wash them with cold water, then put them into a different medium-sized bowl. Using a fork, mash the raspberries into a pulp until there are no more large chunks.
Step 5:
Add 1 cup of Greek yogurt to the bowl of mashed raspberries and mix together until completely combined. The ending color should be a light shade of pink.
Step 6:
Once everything has been incorporated, use a spoon to scoop some of the raspberry yogurt into the container filled with the bottom chocolate layer.
You should only need about three to four spoonfuls for the yogurt to be able to completely cover the chocolate layer.
Spread evenly and delicately so the yogurt does not mix with the chocolate, then put in the freezer for two hours or overnight.
And enjoy!
When not being consumed, leave the yogurt bark in the freezer so it doesn’t melt on you.
Tips and Tricks:
Tip #1:
For this recipe, you may need to wait for the yogurt bark to soften up a little bit after taking it out of the freezer. It will not be ready to eat right away and you will not be able to bite into it.
To cut into this healthy easy snack recipe, use a kitchen utensil like a fork or knife and break through the chocolate layer.
The chocolate will split and create a crack that will divide the bark up into pieces. The yogurt will not break as easily because it is softer.
Tip #2:
Try and scrape out as much melted chocolate from your bowl as you can, because it will create less of a mess when you are ready to clean.
To remove the chocolate, soak it in hot water and use a sponge or brush to forcefully detach the leftover chocolate.
If you happen to have someone helping you, you can give them free range of the rest of the melted chocolate, so they can take as much as they can before it hardens back up again.
Tip #3:
Although the recipe recommends parchment paper, you can still make this recipe without it.
However, parchment paper is the best way to ensure that your chocolate raspberry yogurt bark will come out easily and in one piece.
Without the paper, you may need to use something like a fork to wedge it in between the bark and the side of the container and pop it out like that.
If you make more, you can reuse the parchment paper if it makes it out in one piece too!
Tip #4
DO NOT bite down on the yogurt bark right after it comes out of the freezer. It is very solid and will hurt your gums if you have a sensitivity there.
Instead, wait about five minutes for the bark to defrost and soften up a bit before turning it over to the chocolate side to cut into.
Tip #5:
If you add different toppings, you can still follow the same steps!
For example, if you use blueberries or blackberries as an alternative, you can keep the measurements the same,
Other delicious toppings that you could consider are coconut, chia seeds, and granola. These will add an extra degree of sweetness to your yogurt bark!
Either sprinkle them on top or mix them into the yogurt before freezing. Add as much as desired for the best results.
These treats are the best mid-day snack when you’re feeling peckish, or if you’re looking for a healthy dessert!
